Fees, Insurance & Appointments
My current fee reflects the average for Bay Area psychologists with many years of experience. Because I understand that psychotherapy is an investment and that these are difficult economic times for many people, I do offer a limited number of reduced fee slots especially for multiple sessions per week. Please feel free to tell me about your particular circumstances and I will negotiate with you to the best of my ability.
At present I do not work directly with any insurance company. I am glad to provide you with a monthly ‘super bills’ if your insurance is a PPO policy. Any reimbursement you receive can then be dealt with your insurer.
I will normally be able to respond to your phone call or email within 24 hours. During the business week I can often respond within several hours. I have the usual 24 hour cancellation policy. What this means is that I hold the hour for you. With less than 24 hours notice I can not offer that time to another person. As a result I will ask you to pay either your regular fee.
I adhere to the standards of my professional license and assure you confidentiality. There are legal exceptions to confidentiality which I will explain in length when we meet.
